Punjab information technology Board(PITB) has vowed to facilitate an IT census throughout Pakistan by way of acting as a funding body for financing and oversight. The announcement was once made on the not too long ago organized PITB round desk conference where a brand new IT policy for province Punjab was once put forth for feedback and ideas.
Presiding the spherical table and talking to over 120 technology leaders from Punjab and across Pakistan, Chairman PITB Dr. Umar Saif talked about the wish to calculate and arrange information related to technology business.

The census is predicted to be a stepping stone for introducing reforms in the startup, business, entrepreneurship and overall know-how industry. The insights gathered will even give a powerful reason to the digital and tech advocates to demand reforms and incentives.
The Census will determine quantity and types of IT firms in Pakistan, team of workers employed and earnings generated and other key factors related to know-how.
Commenting on the announcement, a few contributors stressed out that the initiative is important and integral. without it, no development can be made.
The Census will be held in partnership with Pakistan instrument properties affiliation(P@SHA) and would be carried out by a reputed third birthday celebration survey firm. An IT Census Committee was also announced at the celebration, which would act as the oversight physique for the census and nominations were solicited for the same.
